G7 Calibration

In the "Calibration" step, click [Advanced] button. This opens Tweak LinearizationClosed dialog.

To generate advanced G7 calibrations:

  1. Add a new MediaClosed Mode clicking a [+] button (Figure 1). This opens New Target Densities dialog.

  1. Type a name and select the [Curve3/G7 P2P Target] for printing (Figure 2).

  1. Click a [Print] button for printing a swatch (Figure 3).

NOTE: When generating your first G7 calibration target, leave the "Based on" selection on [Default Calibration]. When verifying an existing calibration or building an iterative G7 calibration target, select the G7 media model you are verifying or iterating with.

  1. Open Advanced Readings dialog clicking [Advanced Readingsā€¦] button (Figure 1). Then click the [Curve3 Options] button (Figure 4).

  1. Export readings, and import it into the Curve 3. Export Curve 3 target and import them back into Media Manager (Figure 5).

NOTE: For information on how to use Curve3, including how to import readings, analyze the data and generate G7 calibration targets, please refer to Curve3 documentation .

  1. Click [Build] button for building anew calibration (Figure 6).

To verify G7 Calibration and/or build iterative calibration (Optional):

  1. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

  1. In Step 3, choose the G7 calibration you want to verify/iterate. (Do not leave setting at <Default Calibration>)

  1. Repeat step 4-6 for an iteration. To verify the calibration, repeat step 4 then move on to step 10.

  1. Import readings into Curve3 to verify if they are within G7 tolerance

NOTE:For information on how to check calibrations and build iterative calibration targets, please refer to Curve3 documentation.

11. In Media Manager, click [Cancel] twice and then delete the temporary media model.
